We’re delighted to reveal one of our latest projects; 70 St. Mary Axe. Working with closely Mace, the international consultancy and construction company, we’re currently in the process of installing a new gas connection for the highly-anticipated 24-storey office tower.
Although our area of expertise lies in the gas industry, this project has inspired our inner archeologist, as the street where the gas supply is due to run is the location of an ancient monument. Under the careful supervision from the Museum of London Archaeology, we’ve diverted the gas supply from known sections of the 1800-year old Roman London Wall, laying the pipes without disturbing the masonry.
Dubbed the ‘Can of Ham’, once the project is complete, it will join its foodie neighbours – The Gherkin and the Cheesegrater – as part of East London’s ever changing skyline.Posted on
