What’s your job title?
What does your job involve?
I am responsible for supervising and overseeing new projects for Squire Energy. I am the key contact on site and build relationships with the clients from the start to finish of the project.
What’s your background?
Where do I start? I worked at SGN for 12 years, starting as a GNO1 and working my way up to become a Team Manager. I managed 12 teams across the whole of Sussex. This is where I gained my knowledge of all things gas! Just before I joined Squire, I worked at Gatwick Airport as a Security Team Manager, where I ran a team of around 20 officers, who dealt with any security issue within the airport and on aircraft. My very first job was a Sussex Police Officer, working in Brighton and Hove. I have many stories, but we’ll save them for another day!
Why Squire Energy?
I saw a post on LinkedIn of all the projects Squire were involved in and felt like it was a good opportunity to return to the industry and give myself a new challenge, working on such big projects.
What’s your favourite part of your job?
Visiting new places and being on road – nothing beats driving into London and seeing the skyline of the city in the morning.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
American Football. New England Patriots are my team, I watch them every Sunday. I also play for Sussex Thunder as a Wide Receiver. When I’m not doing that, my daughter loves baking so we will quite often be found in the kitchen trying new recipes.
If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
Honest, sociable, and a family man.
We’re off to the pub – what’s your order?
Rum and coke.
