Meet the team, Lauren Thomas, Operations Administator

What’s your job title?

Operations Administrator

 

What does your job involve?

My role is to assist the operations team, particularly with the completion files, and support the project planners.

 

What’s your background?

I studied sociology at the University of Leicester and since then I have worked in a multitude of positions, from Executive Officer at the Home Office to Property Management and as a PA within the private healthcare sector. I also spent over a year working for SGN and really enjoyed working with the people there and learning about the gas industry.

 

Why Squire Energy?

I really enjoyed my time at SGN and, after leaving my previous role, my brother (a current Squire employee) recommended it as a great company to work for, with lots of opportunity for development.

 

What’s your favourite part of your role as Operations Administrator so far?

As I only started four weeks ago, I’m currently enjoying learning the ropes regarding company processes, and refreshing my previous gas knowledge. I’m looking forward to learning more and more as the role develops and gaining more knowledge of the planning processes.

 

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I love to travel at any opportunity, and also really enjoy photography. Mostly I love spending time with friends, family, and long walks in the countryside with my dog Mac.

 

If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?

Compassionate, reliable and spontaneous

 

We’re off to the pub – what’s your order?

It has to be a gin and tonic for me please!
