What’s your job title?

Quotations Manager at Squire Energy.

What does your job involve?

I look after and help to manage the quotations department within Squire Energy, giving support to and providing assistance to the team as required.

What’s your background?

I started in the gas industry in 2003, working for large gas infrastructure company as a non-domestic designer and quoter. In 2006, when the company was acquired by another organisation, I was TUPE’d over and became a team leader. My responsibilities included checking and authorising quotations before they were sent to customers. I had a short stint as a site works manager for another energy company in 2007, before I joined Squire Energy in June 2008, where I’ve happily remained ever since!

What’s your favourite part of your job/what do you most look forward to in your job?

I look forward to working with and developing my team every day, as well as the chance to meet new and existing clients in order to further enhance the reputation of Squire Energy.

Why Squire Energy?

I was attracted to Squire Energy by its work ethic and focus on meeting the needs of its customers, as well as the chance to join a company in its early development to help it successfully grow.

Most memorable project?

The Francis Crick Institute; this was a very challenging project that involved numerous meetings with National Grid (now Cadent Gas) to ensure sufficient capacity was supplied to the site, as well as installing the incoming supplies and meters to a very tight time frame.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Watching football live and on TV, listening to music and playing my bass guitar.

If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?

Helpful, hardworking, introverted.

We’re off to the pub, what’s your order?

A Redbull, please (I am teetotal).
