What does your job involve?
Helping Squire grow and expand to become a nationwide supplier of new upstream gas connections.
What’s your background?
I have been working in sales for most of my adult life. My last position was as a software solutions consultant, selling software to developers.
Why Squire Energy?
I wanted to work for a company where I can make a real difference, where the business invests in their staff, and somewhere I can commit to until my retirement (a long time away, hopefully).
What’s the most surprising or interesting thing you’ve learnt in the role so far?
I’m learning new things every day, but so far it’s just how much goes into a simple new supply. From traffic management, to reinforcement work, there are so many things to think about before a job can be quoted.
What’s your favourite part of the job?
Talking to customers and learning about the industry from the customers’ perspective.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
With eight children between me and my partner there is never a dull moment, but when I do get a spare min you will find me either on my Playstation or learning a new song on guitar – that’s when I’m not mucking out our horses!
