We ended the temporary pause of our operations and gas connections works on Monday 04/05/20 after developing a suitable safe working plan and new bespoke risk assessments, and we re-commenced with a staggered ‘soft start’ on a number of projects deemed suitable, whilst adhering to Government guidelines on social distancing, plus the additional guidelines by the Construction Industry Council and the latest version of their document ‘Construction Sector – ‘Site Operating Procedures’.
In view of the latest announcement we are now this week ramping up operations further having already identified a number of suitable projects along with our customers’ requirements and these projects have been moved in to our planning schedules, and the required consents from highways authorities’ requested. We will of course at all times `stay alert` and adhere to the safe working and social distancing guidance in place.
In light of the recent changes announced to some of the lockdown rules, and the fact that our customers have begun to safely re-open their sites, we have also been able to bring some of our team back from furlough.
Throughout, we have been monitoring the situation daily and providing regular updates to our employees and customers; we have continued business as usual across all our other functions and teams wherever possible and we are extremely pleased and proud of the joint effort and commitment shown by our staff. In reflection of this, we have also been awarded a number of new orders and progressed further project opportunities to development. Given the challenging times, we are pleased to be able to share this little bit of positive news with you.Posted on
