Biking for Bliss : on September 15th and September 22nd, one of Squire Energy’s Project Managers, Steve Gray will be cycling 100 miles over two weekends to raise money for Bliss, a charity aiming to meet the needs of babies born premature or sick, and their families in the UK. Bliss has launched a new campaign, Go The Distance, which highlights the considerable distances that some parents have to travel to be by their child’s side.

It’s a subject that’s close to Steve’s heart, as his little girl Alice was born prematurely, at 27 weeks. “The biggest challenge for parents in those early days, weeks and months is being separated from their child. My wife drove from Crawley to Chertsey every day for 3 months to be with Alice, as that was the nearest level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit,” Steve says, “I hope that this bike ride not only raises money for Bliss, but also raises awareness of the incredible work that they do for any babies who need neonatal care.”

Stuart Thomas, Senior Project Manager says, “On behalf of all at Squire Energy, we wish Steve the best of luck – it’s an incredibly worthy cause and one that we’re proud to support with our donation.”

Steve will be cycling the same route from Crawley to Chertsey, totalling 100 miles over two weekends.
