Roger has been Managing Director of Squire Energy since June 2021, overseeing business operations and providing strategic guidance during an exciting period of the company's expansion. With extensive knowledge of the industry and a proven track record of delivering profitable growth in the utilities sector, he ensures the business operates at its highest performance level, delivering projects to exceed customer expectations and sales targets.
As Squire Energy's Technical Director, Mark's been working in the industry since the late 1970s, when he started his career at British Gas, North Thames Region as a pupil engineer, studying to become a Chartered Natural Gas Engineer. Throughout the years, Mark has built up a steady stream of professional experience in UK gas distribution, transmission engineering, specialising in construction engineering, design and natural gas metering and ancillaries.
With a wealth of experience, John's industry expertise includes; network transmission, cathodic protection, upstream gas infrastructure design and construction, primary gas metering, tendering of works, IT, marketing, sales and business development. Having founded Squire Energy along with Mark, John and Stuart, John aims to grow the company through the development of the brand and marketing message by continuing to emphasise Squire's reputation for excellence.
As one of the founder members of Squire Energy, Stuart is focused on continuing to grow the company by building on its existing successes and reputation for excellence, whilst keeping safety, quality and delivery at the forefront. With a number of roles under his belt, Stuart's experience ranges across upstream gas infrastructure design and construction, downstream installations and utilisation as well as primary gas metering, gas sales, tendering, marketing, development and management.
Having held various roles within the industry throughout the years, John's experience ranges across upstream gas infrastructure construction through all pressure tiers. John is responsible for Squire Energy's construction and new connections operations.
With almost 15 years’ experience in the gas industry, Jordan brings a vast expanse of expertise, knowledge and specialised skill to Squire Energy. In his new role as Head of Asset Management, Jordan is responsible for Squire’s IGT branch of the company, when it goes live in Autumn 2018. Currently, Jordan is also the Chair of the Young Persons Network for IGEM, and hopes to help young engineers advance their careers in the industry.
Having started her career with North Thames Gas in 1978, Louise has accrued an incredible 40 years in the industry and thrives in her current role as Project Manager at Squire Energy. Drawing on her experience and unique skillset, Louise expertly navigates the GIRS Design, construction, non-routine connections and audit processes, co-ordination of internal teams and external contacts, all needed to successfully manage multiple Squire Energy projects.
As Squire Energy's newest Quality and Systems Manager, Stephen thrived in his previous roles of Technical & Design assistant and Project Estimator, before being promoted to his latest position. His responsibilities include compliance, developing the Squire Energy projects database, SharePoint documents portal and our quality and environmental management systems, as well as a more hands-on-role in the implementation and maintenance of our quality and training programmes.
Prior to joining Squire Energy, Sam worked for SGN Connections and Emergency sections, before becoming Squire Energy's Project Planner. Sam's responsibilities include leading planning exercises, preparing and maintaining schedules, supporting projects throughout all phases and providing general assistance to the Projects Team.
With an English & Psychology degree under his belt, Steve started a successful career in the gas industry in 2000, working within a team for a leading gas infrastructure organisation. Throughout the years, Steve has built on his experience to become a Project Coordinator in 2015. Fuelled by limitless cups of tea, his responsibilities include liaising with clients, project preparations and the creation of preliminary designs and working with our customers to project completion.
Originally hailing from Zimbabwe, Taps completed his studies in the UK and graduated with a degree in Business Management. With eight years of professional experience in the gas industry, he excels in his role as Project Coordinator with Squire Energy. Drawing on his expertise, Taps ensures that all aspects of our projects run smoothly - from initial drawings, to finding and providing solutions to overcome project challenges and maintaining relationships with clients.
With almost 20 years of experience working with leading gas energy providers in a variety of roles, Andrew has steadily worked his way through the ranks to become a Squire Energy Project Manager. From liaising with clients, to managing the engineering teams and co-ordinating with contractors and partners, Andrew utilises his expertise to ensure Squire's projects continue to run successfully.
Chris has carved out a 14-year career in the gas industry since his beginnings as a design engineer. Having spent just under a decade at Squire Energy, Chris relishes his role as Project Coordinator as he guides complex projects from conception to completion, developing bespoke engineering solutions along the way.
As an IGEM member with over seven years in the industry, Joanna has a comprehensive knowledge of gas infrastructure and metering works and – like all Squire Energy staff – is driven by a commitment to always deliver a friendly and effective service. In her role as Project Co-ordinator, Joanna is the first point of contact for customers, overseeing the project from quotation stage to completion.
Having thrived in his people-facing role as Customer Liaison at British Gas for four years, David has been Squire's Energy's Operations Administrator for over 1 ½ years. In his role, David's responsibilities primarily include ensuring that methods and standards are efficient and safe, as well as delivering integral administrative support to the Operations Team. David also provides some drawing and planning services.
Proud to be one of Squire Energy's first employees, joining in 2007. Jasmin transitioned into the gas industry after many years in various customer service roles. Now focused on all aspects of business administration, Jasmin's main responsibilities are centred on supporting the Business Administrator and the quotations and project management teams.
Having previously worked at British Gas HQ, Denise has the experience, skills and abilities to excel in her role as Business Administrator. Duties include providing frontline office communications, dealing with finance issues, liaising with staff and supporting the smooth-running of organisational operations.
With 20 years business development experience in the aviation spares industry and affordable housing market, Chris has developed his own selling technique, encouraging businesses and their customers to work together for their mutual benefit. Having joined the team in 2020, he is driven to support Squire Energy's values of transparency and collaboration and believes in working with the business and its customers to encourage the adoption of these values across the gas industry.
Terri joined Squire Energy’s metering and asset team as Procurement and Revenue Manager in 2020. Her role involved engaging with gas suppliers to manage their data needs, reporting on the costs of meter installations to the financial team, and the integration of metering data into the wider Stark Group systems. Terri successfully managed the procurement metering team and has recently diversified and now works primarily in asset co-ordination across the business functions.
Lauren joined our team in 2020 looking to expand her knowledge of the gas industry after a year working for a network operator. She has a degree in Sociology and brings a wide range of experience and organisational skills from her previous roles in the Home Office and the private healthcare sector to her role at Squire assisting the operations team and supporting our project planners.
Jason has over 10 years of experience in the gas industry having worked his way from a Gas Governor Trainee to managing a team as a Regional Supervisor. He is always looking to improve his knowledge and has already achieved two NVQs in Engineering Maintenance and Volume Correctors. Alongside his busy role providing technical support to the Squire team, he is also studying part-time for a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with the OU and working towards becoming an incorporated member of IGEM.
With a background in financial services, media and PR, Amelia maintains the financial records and management accounts for Squire Energy. This includes handling day-to-day financial data and reporting, as well as helping to implement improvements to existing processes. Amelia is also currently studying for the CIMA professional qualification.
Reece has over a decade of experience in the gas industry and a strong background in managing people and projects. He previously managed 12 operations teams across Sussex for a Distribution Network Operator and has also worked as a Security Team Manager at Gatwick Airport. As Squire Energy’s Project Supervisor, Reece builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, acting as their key contact and overseeing all operational aspects of their project from start to finish.
As Squire's Metering Coordinator, Daniel's role involves liasing with gas service providers to arrange installations and exchanges. He enjoys communicating and building relationships with the other members of the SEL team and our clients and suppliers.
Simon joined Squire with five years in the gas industry. Having mainly worked with industrial and commercial gas suppliers, he wanted to experience the customer journey from a different angle. As a Metering Coordinator, Simon utilises his customer service skills and ability to build strong working relationships with clients, contractors and suppliers to manage Squire’s metering works, from install through to removal.
Having worked in utilities for four years, Claire has been putting her previous experience juggling new gas meter installations, maintenance work and emergency callouts to good use in her role as Squire’s Metering Coordinator. Her duties include liaising with gas service providers to arrange meter installations and exchanges. She enjoys building new working relationships and is driven by the opportunity to expand her knowledge, learn new skills and take on new challenges.
After working for a gas transporter for ten years, specialising in connections for commercial properties and large housing developments, Shamsia came to Squire as she was looking for a role where she could manage projects and build a personal relationship with clients. Her Project Manager position involves providing quotations for gas connections, disconnections and alterations and working closely with operations and local authorities to manage planned gas works.
As a Project Manager in Squire’s quotations team, Sean is responsible for ensuring projects are co-ordinated and managed effectively from quotation to completion. Prior to working at Squire, Sean worked at one of the network operators providing quotations and designs for gas infrastructure works. He also holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music Composition and Technology for Media, and produces electronic music and plays the piano in his spare time.
Amy joined the Squire team in July 2021, bringing with her over eight years’ experience in the industry, working in domestic and Industrial and Commercial (I&C) metering. As Senior Metering Coordinator she supports Squire’s Metering Manager across all areas of the business, getting hands-on with the metering team and building relationships with service providers.
Ella works across Squire Energy and Stark Group, providing support on a range of compliance, health and safety, and commercial activities. At Squire she works alongside Quality and Systems Manager, Stephen Rose, to ensure that all central KPIs are followed. Ella brings her organisational and personnel skills to her role following several years working as a Pension Administrator.
Having worked in the gas industry for over seven years, Sidney’s experience and skills make him the ideal candidate for his role as Operations Supervisor at Squire Energy. His responsibilities include taking projects from their initial win through to completion, coordinating with the Squire team, clients and suppliers to ensure everything runs smoothly along the way.
